When we first arrived here, a "security guard" was on duty at night and sleeping in our bodega (storage building.) While he was gone one day, I walked inside to see he'd been reading this Bible and devotional.

It's election season in Ecuador and we are less than 30 days out from the presidential/national elections. There are no "yard signs" here, but you can spray paint your ad just about anywhere. One candidate for Assembly, or congress, is Jose Felix "el gato) Alcivar. I love his nickname, "The Cat."

    i love the pelican on the beach! that seems so strange. they nest in the mangroves here, but i’ll bet that you have no mangroves!
